(Closed) photographer confusion/drama

I don’t think it’s rude of them to ask at all.  In fact, I completely understand why they would.  They presented you a proposal of their work and you accepted it, in part.  Generally couples use the same photographer for the engagement shoot and the wedding day because they’ve already been in front of this photographer and are more comfortable with someone they know.  So, I think it’s fair that they ask you why you selected them for one, but not the other.  I’m sure the photographer was just confused about why you only wanted them for the engagement and not the wedding, especially since I’m assuming you had interviewed them about doing the wedding as well.  If you love this photographer, I wouldn’t write them off over that one question!
