That will depend on the photog, their experience, and your location.  How many hours are you talking?  4?  2?

It will also depend on where you are located and how far the photographer has to travel to get to you.

I suggest searching for photographers in your area and asking them if they can put together something for you in your budget.

Mary, I hate to be a debbie downer, but you are probably going to have a really hard time finding a photographer who will book your very popular wedding date for only a few hours. Most don’t even have an hourly rate.

Your best bet is to post on Craigslist saying exactly what you want and I’m sure you’ll get a few takers. Craigslist isn’t the worst thing in the world, you just have to look at the portfolios CAREFULLY! Read posts on what to look for in a wedding photographer. (E.g. can you see a whole wedding etc.) I also think if you wait until your wedding gets closer, a photog will be more willing to book you for a few hours, as the likelihood of them booking someone else for that date is a lot less. Good luck!

@souza_2005:  That’s because charging those sort of rates make it literally impossible to run a full time professional business with the best equipment, insurance, and services for your clients.  Which means you are turning towards amateurs, people starting out, or those with considerably talent.
