I’m having a super small wedding of 20 guests and only want a photographer for during the wedding and after for family shots (possibly first look) for no more than 3 or 4 hours. However, I’m having trouble finding any photographers that are even willing to shoot a wedding for that few hours. I’m getting married in the DC metro area. Any help?

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
My photographers, Gillette Portrait Arts, were quite flexible.

I think Morningstar Photography has a 4-hour package with the disc included. Try them.

I’m not sure if she’s doing many weddings these days, but I have a college friend in your area who does photo work on the side and is probably pretty flexible:

I have no personal experience with her, but I read that Maggie Winters Photography does a lot of elopements, so maybe she would be willing to shoot a shorter wedding.

I got married about 5 years ago, and my photographer was only there for a few hours (daytime wedding, ~40 people). She’s really awesome and is doing maternity pictures for us in a few weeks! http://www.houghphotography.com/

I dont’ know what your budget is, but Kate Headley is one of my favorite DC-based photographers. If you don’t find anything you like, try broadening your search to VA and MD photographers.

My photographer, http://www.christinekelbyphotography.com/content.html?page=1, offers a 4 hour package and custom packages. She is located in Norfolk, VA (Hampton Roads) so I doubt she would have a problem traveling to the DC area.

Try Rachel of RMN, she has a 5 hour for $1500. She is located in Arlington, VA. I bet you can negociate something lower than that for 3-4 hours or that one with wedding books included. Her packages can be customized . We used her for our engagement pics and will be using her for our wedding that is a lunch reception and didnt need the full 5 hours. . She also provided a DVD of your pictures so you can print them wherever you want.

I was about to mention Rachel, when I asked her about a custom wedding package she gave me an hourly rate for 2-3 hours.

I would try Diana at http://dianabellackphotography.com/
She is flexible and very easy to work with. Her prices are also reasonable.
