Hire a professional.
Most photographers are hired 9-12 months in advance of the wedding. My photographer is already completely booked for next year. But I’m sure you could find one due to cancellation or just pure luck…and any professional will do a better job than someone that hasn’t done a wedding before. That is a recipe for disaster!

Thanks bees for all your help!
Turns out Fiance had the same thought as all of you, and weve begun searching for a pro.
I am located in Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia if any Bees are around that area.
thanks for all your help! Hopefully someone is still available!

What’s your budget? I have a friend in Queensland who is considered one of the best, you may not be able to afford them, but I’m sure she can refer people who are awesome.

Im about four hours drive from central brisbane, so even if i could afford him (our budget is around $2000 for ‘getting ready’, ceremony, bride and groom shots and reception for a few hours), it would be far to travel, if they have any references feel free to sling em at me!

I just got married in Woolgoolga last week and had Matt from Iron and Clay Photography come up from Port Macquarie for our photography. I would highly recommend him, we also had our engagement photos taken by Matt and he did a lovely job. His pricing is around your budget and he has heaps of photos on his facebook page. Perhaps if he’s not available he could recommend someone in the area for you?
I hope that helps!!

Where I live November isn’t a popular month and I don’t think a bride would have a hard time finding someone last minute here. I just looked up my photog out of curiousity (she is alwys jam packed during wedding season) and she is totally available for Novemer. Maybe in Australia you have a different busy wedding season though?
Good luck! I hope you can find one
