I wouldn’t …. but my wedding photographer was also pregnant for our wedding and it wasn’t a problem at all!  She was 5.5 to 6 months pregnant (I don’t remember exactly how far along she was) and was with us from 10am until about 10pm without any problems at all!  And our pictures turned out gorgeous!

If you like her work, I’d stick with her!

Actually, it IS me. My photog is prego, too, but she is due three days after the wedding. It’s definitely a no-go for me.

I would change.  I’m sorry but if she can’t do what she normally does and pregnancy can cause complications where she would need to be on bedrest, then you ought to find a new one now rather than later!

I’d change. She has already indicated that she won’t be able to get all the shots you want or that she usually take. Find someone who won’t be an extra worry on your day.

As much as I’d hate to say it, I would switch.  Should she have a tough pregnancy, she may not be able to stay on her feet for the three hours she is saying she can.  That’s a good guess for now but it’s hard to say so early how a pregnancy will go.  I think it would probalby put your mind at ease to make the change now while you still have plenty of options.

I also would switch and I think it was very professional of her to let you know what’s up.

I, too, would definitely change, based on what happened with Mrs Button’s photographer (although, in this case it was his wife.) Plus, she sounds like she wants out and having a photographer there on your wedding day who doesn’t want to be there sounds horrible! Ask her to refer you to someone else!

@Nola: that is iffy. I work part time as a caterer and one wedding this year the photographer was pregnant. She took a LONG break in the car and missed a good chunk of time, also she didn’t really even put the effort in to get good shots. I would have been very disappointed. This lady was 8.5 months pregnant so your situation is a bit different. Also because you are only asking her to be there for a few hours it may not affect you… It is hard. You could ask for a discount knowing that you may not get the same quality of work as you had initially expected when you signed her. It could save you some money at least if you do decide to keep her.

I would/did. My photog got pregnant as well and was due about a month before our wedding. It’s her first and there is just so much uncertainty surrounding that time… I didn’t want to risk it. Ask her for some recommendations for photogs with similar styles and cost.

I would change……. for all of the reasons the above posters suggesting you should change said.  It’s one day….she could not be feeling well, have her feet/legs swelling…not worth the risk.

I’m surprised that she feels she will be so limited at 7months – and sounds like she wants out.  I’d see if you can find a different one and then back out!

I would either change photogs or ask for a second shooter… it’s probably easier to just make a change though!

I would book another photographer simply because she told you she can’t get certain shots you might want and I wouldn’t want to have limitations on what photos I could get on my wedding day. I do think it was very professional and classy of her to tell you and offer your deposit back.
