I am getting married in Dec in Maui with my fiance and our immediate families (we both have two parents and each have a sister) so 8 people in total. We are having it at my parent’s condo yard which overlooks the ocean/beach/islands.
I am not really interested in having the getting ready photos taken. Just the short ceremony, family pics, and then me and the new hubby on the beach. We will all go to dinner after that, but I don’t need a photographer there.
Here’s the pricing breakdown, would love anyone’s thoughts on the quotes:
3hrs w/ two photogaphers $1650
I’m curious if 2.5hrs will be enough? Also I am tempted by having the 4hr package with the two photographers, but its not like there is going to be a ton of activity going on given its only 8 of us.

As a wedding photographer…if I were getting married in Maui I would be all over making sure I had as much time possible doing couple photos wherever the photographer thought the best locations were. For that reason, I’d probably opt for 3 hours. Have your ceremony (likely under 30 minutes), some family photos, and then I’d be inclined to have some apps/drinks set up in the condo for them to all enjoy while you and your hubby have portraits done. Then again, photos are insanely important to me and to be getting married someone so gorgeous I would not want to regret rushing through photos.

Thanks for the input. Do you think having two photographers is ridiculous? It just happened to come in the package.

Also a photographer- I think for that short of time having 2 photographers would actually be better. they will be able to split up and you’ll get great coverage of candids while you’re doing formals.. For example.
and I agree!! Yes to having as much time as you can get exploring and taking beautiful couples pictures!!

Nope, I think 2 photographers is totally fine. I actually take my second shooter with me even when I’m shooting 2 hour elopements, because after all our years shooting togeher we basically work as a well-oiled team…both of us shoot a certain way that meshes together.
