sarahjc9588 :

There wasn’t anything in the contract of a timeline.

Huge mistake on your part. You can’t hold them to a timeline if you don’t have one set in your contract, I would say a couple or even few months is totally normal. Wait until after the holidays to reach out at least.

Our contract is 90 days (3 months). I would say that’s fairly average. An engagement picture shoot is much simplier than an entire day/wedding.

It normally takes 8 – 12 weeks for most wedding photgraphers to get through editing a wedding. *Source, I’m a professional photographer.*

I would contact him now and just check in with the timeline. It took our photographer 2 months to get ours done because she was travelling a lot after our wedding. And as for what he’s posting, I doubt that he posts exactly as he finishes things. Normally photographers with blogs ‘curate’ their content a bit so that the content is spread out and varied.

sarahjc9588 : I don’t get your comment on the September wedding. Of course that would get done before yours since yours was in November? I don’t understand why you said it seems like he’s putting up everyone’s except yours.

Sept – Dec seems like a reasonable timeframe, thats about 3 months which is what is average I believe based on reading the forums on weddingbee previously.

As far as a Dec pic being posted – perhaps it was just a sneak peak? Maybe they added a stipulation in their contract that rushed their pics? You don’t really know the situation.
