price depends on a lot of factors, including:

  • location of your wedding
  • number of photographers/hours
  • album
  • editing
  • number of prints
  • other sessions that may be included (bridal or engagement)

Our photographer cancelled on us this morning.  I’ve been seen prices all across the board from $1500 to $5000 and even higher.  Guess it depends on what you are looking for and want from them.

I would ask any friends that may have gotten married recently or even ask your venue/caterer, etc. for some referrals.

I feel very blessed I found an old high school friend who is now a photographer.  Best of luck to you!

Check out Jason Angelini. He’s amazing, and he’s very reasonably priced. He was one of the more inexpensive photographers that we looked at, but by far my favorite. He keeps a really good blog so you can check out a lot of his work. If you have any questions feel free to PM me!

Don’t dismiss photogs from a few hours away either.

Our recommended local, while perfectly good, charges 1300 for her 5 hours. You get the cd, and that’s it. She charges mileage too.

I found a class photog from across the border, though, (Northern Ireland) – ca 3 hour drive – and he’ll do TEN hours for the same price. Yikes! And he doesn’t charge mileage, just requests a room be provided for him. The room will only cost me 70 euro (ca 95/100$?) so I’m happy out. And I love his pics.

So do consider perhaps broadening your search area, if that’s appropriate – I’m not exactly familiar with what 3 hours drive in Florida will get you!

We are in Venice FL, not too far from Tampa, and we are paying $2,300 for 6 hours, 2 photographers and dvd. We paid engagement session separate, because we wanted to see how our photographer is, and we loved her. She credited us some money back for e-session after we booked. Photos and personality are important to us, we interviewed few other photographers who were cheaper, but decided to go with the one we have now.
