I’d just like to share my experience, so far, with my photographers. Hopefully, this will benefit any Connecticut brides looking for a photographer.
When my handsome hunk of a fiance and I started looking for a photographer, we decided we’d do our research and “interview” photographers in the area before making a choice. The first photographers we met with were great. They had great energy and communicated well with us but didn’t have that “it factor,” we were looking for. A week later we met with Jeff and Christina from Photo Expressions in Southington, CT. From the moment we met them we clicked. They’re very down to earth, very knowledgeable and passionate about photography. We loved how professional they are and how AMAZING their work is…for a very reasonable price. In that meeting we were given all the information we needed and all the answers we requested AND a freshly baked batch of delicious cookies! Together, we decided that this was the company we wanted to work with for the (events leading up to and) biggest day of our lives.
Since we signed our contract, we’ve maintained communication in regards to payments, updates on how wedding planning is coming along, and the sharing in joys of our photographer’s own engagement! They’re timely with responses to questions and always patient with our concerns.
On Friday we had our engagement photo session at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, CT. I was very nervous because we’d essentially agreed to meet up with two photographers we’ve only known a couple of months, sit, pose, kiss, hug, and be entirely mushy in front of. But I must say, these people have what it takes! They talked us through poses and face making and hand placement and made the whole somewhat awkward experience very enjoyable and memorable. We went from the a tree laced walkway, to the mansion gates, to the garden, to the beach and shot all kinds of lovey dovey photos. From the few shots we saw, the work is amazing! We were given one “freebie” “sneak peek” “teaser” shot on their Facebook page and we cannot wait to meet up with them this week for our viewing party. Below is the teaser, hope you enjoy!
