Yes one hour is definitely enough time, especially if you are providing snacks and cocktails for your guests.  Most photogs depending on the size of the bridal party can get it done in half of that time.

I have heard (not sure if it’s your style) someone setting up a Playstation game for guest while you take your pictures. I wouldn’t do it after the reception. People will be tired and boozed up Foot in mouth. It would make for some fun pictures. But folk will be all sweaty and stuff. I say do the “cocktail hour” first. That what most people do. Your guest will be fine. It’s about what you want to do on your day.

One hour is plenty time to take shots of the wedding party (and family) in between the ceremony and reception. I wouldn’t do it after the reception. Everyone would look worn down lol.

You could do your BM/GM pics before the ceremony too. I think it took about 45min to photograph the bridal party (3 on each side). That will also free up some time between the ceremony/ reception.
