Have you tried Parsons? They probably have a referral/employment service for students.

In NYC? Good luck! 🙂 Actually that’s kind of insulting. And a student is not ideal for a wedding, especially if they’ve never done one before. You’d want some one with experinced and the right equipment to capture the right moments. Wedding are very fast paced and you need talent to keep up and the right lighting… etc. If the photos are important, increase your budget for them and find a good photographer who will just shoot and edit, and put on a disc and no extras and less hours. Maybe cut it down to 6 hours.

As far as video, just like photographer, either it’s important to you or not. Don’t settle for just anything. Video takes hours of editing, aside from actually shooting the day and travel and other costs, and that’s why they are priced starting at like $1800.

One of the best kept secrets on NYC are Spanish Wedding vendors, the spanish population is very …. frugal…. with weddigns and vendors also put down their prices… so check this out.

Try this people, beware I am not recommending them, I just saw on their FB page that they charge less than 1k.

you can also try these. They are very good.

We offer photography packages in the city at my business, but $1,000 it’s unfortunately not enough for my team members. best of luck!
