A friend of mine is going to be a taking some photos for us for our holiday cards this year.
I don’t think she charges, and just does it for a hobby. But I want to get her something, or give her some kind of compensation for her time.
Do you bees have any suggestions?

Well, she’s your friend – does she have a favorite store she shops at? You could get a gift card. Or, an amazon.com, bhphoto.com or adorama.com gift card would allow her to use the money towards photo equipment.

I’d actually ask her how much you owe her for the photos. Perhaps she just hasn’t mentioned it because it’s uncomfortable.
If she says it’s for free – then get her something she likes. Does she have any favorites? Nice chocolates, wine, gift card for her fav restaurant, etc.

I’m not sure if you have a Cost Plus/World Market near you, but they have tons of cute stuff to put together into amazing gift baskets, and you an spend as little/much as you like! They have cute holiday stuff now too! How nice that she’s doing this for you. What a great friend!

@oracle: I agree, ask if she’d like to be compensated; if not, proceed to gifts.

I asked her and she said no compensation…so I think I’ll get her a gift card to a store she likes. Thank you for all the suggestions. If anyone has anymore, please share.
