Wonderful idea!

Are you contacting them to obtain permission to shoot? I actually think that a majority of shorter shoots, along the lines of E Sessions, routinely do not obtain permits to shoot. You’re not there for too long, and a lot of people take photos in public places!

Best of luck!

@Lepidoptera:  Are you looking for a cityscape backdrop? Great lookout deck at the Hyatt next to the trade center! Just go do your shoot there, Ive shot there with no issues. Awesome night city lights from the Hyatt deck! Ive also shot on Pier 54 with no issues and nice cityscape backdrop.

Just go shoot where you want, usually there is no issue if you dont have a whole crew/production.

@Lepidoptera:  Any luck on finding out information on obtaining a permit to take pictures in the Hoboken Terminal?  This is going to be our backup plan for our wedding photos if it rains and I have heard from more then one person that you need a permit.  I just cannot seem to get in touch with the right people.

@Brie613:  You don’t need a permit, however the terminal is now undergoing renovations, so you may want to take a look at it before you just show up for photos.
