Our wedding is at 7:00 p.m. and we are now trying to figure out our photography issue stuff that we will have. We are going back and forth with doing a first look or not. ANother issue, is we can’t get into the church until 5:30 because of Saturday evening Mass. My whole point of doing the first look is so we could get a lot of pictures out of the way, but now I don’t think we can before the ceremony and I don’t want a lot of people to see me in my dress before the wedding. I also don’t want to make everyone (myself included) hang out in their dressy attire for forever before the wedding. The sun sets at 5:30 p.m. and it may be cold or yucky outside, so I don’t want to count on being outside.
My question, any advice or helpful ideas about this? Anyone else have a similar time issue? Am I making sense?

That sounds like a very ticklish situation cuz u have to consider how much light there’d be out.
Really dont know what to tell you but good luck figuring it out!

We are in a similar situation in the Seattle area. We are having the ceremony in a rustic lodge in the rain forest, so it will be dark by 4pm out here in Jan. We also want to do the first look photos. But like you I don’t want people to see me before the ceremony. We have considered having the outdoor photos for just us the day after because we will be renting a room at the lodge and have that luxury to stay. Can you get back in the following day sometime during daylight hours? Many times a wedding party will leave the venue flowers for the services the next day. That way your flowers would still be there. And you might not be returning tuxes until the week day. If you are able with the dress, limited hair/makeup, etc that might be an option.
