@veelee: I love your idea, we are also having a lot of photo’s at the wedding. We have a engagement pic guestbook (but you can use any pics of you guys) and we also took pictures of us holding numbers, we are going to put them in frames and use them as tabel numbers- I love the idea! For centerpieces, why not make a tree-like centerpiece with crystals and photo’s hanging from it- it will save you a lot not to use flowers. I was going to do this, but I decided on flowers in the end.

I love this photo clothesline as an alternative to slideshows.

There are some older threads on here that had some great ideas, so you should definitely check those out!  At our wedding we collected as many wedding photos of our guests as possible, and then put them in frames on the guests tables.  We let the couples take them home at the end.

@veelee: We’re doing something similar. Some of these ideas have gone to the chopping block because it would be overboard, but we will be including most of these things.

  • Guest book will be a photo album of our epics with white space for guests to sign
  • We’re having a photobooth too!! 😀
  • Table numbers will be table 1 with photos of us at age 1 and so on
  • Slideshow during dinner at the reception (this got scrapped, but I think it’s a great idea)
  • Photos of parents’ and grandparents’ weddings at cake table
  • Photo cake! (we won’t be doing this one, but it’s so cool)

We named our tables after places that held a memory during our relationship. We used a picture of the sign from the restaurant we went to on our first date. I included a couple senteces of the back story with each of them. Everyone loved these. We watched people walking around from table to table to read them

We met on-line at plenty of fish…

some of them had us in them and some of them didn’t

julies1949:  Hi Julie, I was wondering if you can give me the instructions on how you created this 3 sided frame? I would like to create a similiar centerpiece for my wedding. Thank you.
