If you decide to go offsite to take some pictures then you will be away for at least part of your reception, right? If you are fine with that, then go ahead, but maybe you could consider doing most or all of the pictures before the wedding? If you end up running late on the day the photo time will cut in even further to the reception time. Your pictures with your Fiance will probably be the most important ones, so why not do those ahead of time so that you make sure that you get them?

My Fiance and I are going to do pictures with us, and then the wedding party before our 1pm ceremony, then family photos right after the ceremony, and then more photos with just my Fiance and I the hour before out 5:30 reception. That’s a lot of time for pictures but I wanted to make sure that we wouldn’t be rushed or stressed.
