oh i can’t stand the ones of grooms/ groomsmen where they’re all squatting down looking serious. they look like the backstreet boys who couldnt hold it any longer.

thats really the only one i’m adamant about not getting haha

I see a lot of like chest-to-knee photos and think… why? I just don’t get it.

I’m not a fan of the American Gothic-esque wedding pose. You know, like the painting of the farmer and his wife? It just seems awkward with the bride and groom on their wedding day, presumably the happiest day of their lives, with incredibly stoic faces staring straight at the camera. If you can put a thought bubble over their head, it would probably just say “yay.”

I hate jumping photos they are awkward in feeling and appearance. At my cousin’s wedding I was terified my boobs would fly out of my strapless dress to be caught on film for all to see.

All of the above, plus I hate cutesy pictures of the bride with the groomsmen, and the groom with the bridesmaids.  They always look really awkward and unnatural.

I actually sent my photographer a long list of things I hated from different “professional” albums I’d seen: people’s heads getting cut off, overly posed wedding party shots (GM leaning on a tree/wall/etc holding Bridesmaid or Best Man all looking at bride), the super dramatic photos of the bride & groom looking off in awkward directions…

@Treejewel19:  I hate the jumping photos too.  So awkward.  Plus there is always one person not high enough off the ground.  It just looks bad.

I also hate photos of the bride and groom play-acting high fashion models.  I always hear Tyra Banks in my head.  “FIERCE!”

I’ve never liked the ‘artsy’ ones. Like the shadow of the bride and groom instead of the actual groom?

I hate it when a bride’s walk down the aisle is interrupted by a photog stepping in the middle of the aisle to take that picture.  I understand that is a huge moment, but its ruins the mood.

I’m also not a huge fan of the jumping photos. Darling Husband was in a wedding where they did it and it took so many takes! So much jumping!

@libanez:  Ha ha so true. At a local bridal boutique they have a photo of the groomsmen on the wall, jumping of course. There is one guy that is literally turned the wrong way (can hardly see his face) and barely off the ground. I think every time I go there….really? That is the photo they chose to display? It is really funny.
