All I have to say is: wtf is a yeet?

ETA: I would move this to The Lounge instead of Emotional.

soexcited123 :  I can’t stand “lit”. Luckily this one has not caught on with my friends, probably because we’re over 30, but I see it on social media all the time and can’t stand it!

Lol I always laugh when I hear “lit”. I too am just over 30 and it didn’t mean the same thing years ago as it does today. So at first I’m like… wait, everyone’s drunk? 😂

chelbell23 :  I second that! I’m a teacher and my students say “yeet” all the time and I still have no idea what it means.

Oh, I also can’t stand the whole “mood” thing. Posting a pic of a bunch of money or something with the caption “mood”.

soexcited123 :  There’s no reason to act superior to adults who choose to use slang. I use a lot of slang ironically. I’m almost 30 so I hope people realize this if/when I use it. I don’t mind slang, but I get annoyed when people constantly mispronounce words or use terms incorrectly. If I hear someone say “expresso” instead of “espresso” for example, I get annoyed.

soexcited123 :  You’re being unnecessarily rude. Being annoyed by slang or word mispronunciation/misuse is one thing, but you literally said you would question an adult’s IQ if they used the word “lit.” (Which btw, is not a new term.) That is acting superior. Being annoyed is not.
