Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors in the garden of a beautiful bed and breakfast. Our wedding style is kind of shabby chic with a side of elegance… not uppity… casual and fun… tasteful and beautiful. The music fi and I listen to is mostly indie rock… Vampire Weekend, Shins, Ben Folds (not sure he’s indie, but he’s my fave), Avett Brothers. I was also thinking about throwing some oldies in the mix… maybe Beattles. Do you think acoustic guitar or piano would fit better for our ceremony music? I know it comes down to pesonal preference, but I can’t make a decision.
If you used one of these, what did you like or dislike about it? Personal experiences from others might help me decide.

Im thinking of going with a guitar, it sounds so nice, and I have a family friend who is going to play a medley of songs for the ceremony. A piano is good, but you would have to find a way to get it out there :p

I am having acoustic guitar for my ceremony. I also LOVE ben folds, The Luckiest is ‘our song’, but that isn’t what will be played. Good luck deciding!

Guitar, it’s more casual and it sounds so nice. We did an ipod, but most of the songs were acoustic guitar, haha.

Acoustic guitar for sure, it’s more casual and outdoorsy but so beautiful sounding.

I agree with the previous posters – acoustic guitar for sure. My bridesmaids will be walking to an acoustic version of The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun”.
