I got my Trash the Dress photos back! I purchased a cheap “off the rack” dress and husband and I hired our wedding photographer to take some “TTD” photos of us around the city! I LOVE how they turned out and it was an “almost one year anniversary gift” to myself. 😉
Photographer- Bradford Martens
Location- Deep Ellum, Texas
What do you guys think?

I thought that Trash The Dress meant you ruined the dress in some way? Whether you got it wet, got paint on it, got mud on it, and generallly made it unwearable thus trashing it. Am I mistaken?

Where’s the mud and spray paint?

heathuhhhhwebbbb: where’s the trashing part?

Ellicott: She laid in grass and walked around a city in her dress. That isn’t something you can do on your wedding day. People do trash the dress shoots at carnivals, playgrounds, and other places where the dress gets dirty. I have even seen trash the dress shoots where people ride horses or go golfing. The dress hardly ever gets ruined during these photoshoots.

Payless: then it should really be called “another reason to wear my dress and take pictures”
regardless, nice photos.

cls9q: That was a little gratuitous. This is still considered a TTD shoot even if it doesn’t fit your vision of what a TTD shoot should look like…I would like to know when the WB members got so snarky. Adding “regardless, nice photos” doesn’t make the following statement any less rude
“another reason to wear my dress and take pictures”

cls9q: I didn’t think you were being snarky… I seriously thought the same thing. I thought trash the dress was literally TRASHING the dress, not just wearing it outside of the wedding. We plan on doing a photoshoot the next day and going around Acadia National Park and then minigolfing with me in my dress, but I wouldn’t consider it a trash the dress thing, just more pictures.
