It’s been a couple crazy weeks and I am still pretty much exhausted but SO happy with how everything turned out! It was such an incredibly special night. I look at the pictures and my heart melts thinking and seeing how both our families and friends had such a good time. And of course we had an amazing time too. But there are so many beautiful pictures of our families and I think there are so little opportunities to get everyone together. It’s usually either funerals or weddings that can accomplish that. And it’s great to have it be a celebration instead of a sad one this time around! Truly a treasure. At least for me.
We didn’t get our couple and my bridal pics at that night. It was night and the lighting was not the best. Plus I always told the photographers I wanted the focus on candid pictures. My pictures and our pictures can be done on a different day. Having pictures of the whole event as it unfolded is something that we can’t recreate. So here a mix of pro and guest photographs 🙂
The day started very early with all the DIY preparations and coordination. But that’s another whole different post lol. After I left the venue, I went to my make up artist’s apartment to get my make up done. My God he got me SO emotional and I almost cried as I left his apartment and he wished me so many beautiful things. And his work was his gift to me which kinda made me want to cry even more!
After I left, selfie in the car hehe
After I went to the salon and my friend did my hair. Another gift and another moment that almost got me to cry. Only reason I did not cry was because they kept reminding me it would ruin the make up 😛
Then it was off to the venue again, where things started
With one of my best friends
Having a moment with the girls. Bridesmaids and wedding Godmother
Ceremony decor and setting. DIY yeah me! lol

On our way out
At balcony watching the Tuna sing at the cocktail
Tuna singing. We had the Tuna (Spain music) show for cocktail hour and dinner, the DJ, a singer who performed and then a Batucada to pick the party atmosphere up again after dinner!
Moment to us inside the salon before we welcomed guests. We were opening a gift my niece gave me. A framed piece of art made out of my mom and dad’s wedding day picture at the church.
In this pic if you look to the right you can see the table numbers! (sorry. Proud DIYer here lol) Also the centerpieces.
The cake! 😀
Salon setting and decor. In some of the pics we were not finished yet with the sweetheart table
Husband Instagramed this one all very proud of how it looked. After saying all the time using just a tablecloth and nothing else was fine LOL. Thank you for the help bees. I followed you recommendations and stuck to the light ivory tablecloths… and they looked kinda silver in the venue! O.o
In this pic the blush runner looks a very different and more intense pink but they were just blush.
My DIY centerpieces and table decor! From the numbers to the vases… the whole thing. Kinda crazy looking back
Sweetheart table (not finished)
How we folded the napkins I bought into bows with VERY sparkly DIY crystal napkin rings!

asking the little ones at the wedding to come dance with me
I love how the kids seemed to have a blast with the vegigantes! They seemed quite amused. They all stayed up until everything was over and no one was crying or upset. That made me happy.
brother in law embracing the Puerto Rican traditions lol. he loved the masks!
I danced quite a bit 😉
Husband and I were the last two people to leave the venue… after we took care of everything being taken down and placed on the truck. We were exhausted but SOOO freaking happy!!! All worth it.
The venue’s entrance/ exit.
That’s it bees. Thanks for all the support, ideas and for sharing this crazy adventure. I’ll write a little bit about how the day unfolded when I do the DIY recap. The days before it was CRAZY. Period. But it all worked out in the end 🙂
