New-bee here 🙂 My incredible boyfriend and I are in the process of creating an engagement ring. It’s super exciting! We both fell in love with the David Yurman Eden Pave setting and are on to picking the diamond. Originally, when we talked about it, we decided I would pick the setting, and he would pick the stone.
The stone he picked is a 3.15 CT, VVS2, Excellent Cut, Color I, in the DY Signature Cushion Cut.
From research, I know that cushions show their color a bit more, so I’m wondering if we should downsize on CT, and go up in color to an F. DY has assured us we can still change the stone once it is mounted in the setting, if the color is showing more than we’d like.
I know a lot of you have really done your research and have rings already so I would love to benefit from your experience and wisdom. If you have a cushion in I, please post pictures, I would love to see! And let me know what you think!
Here is the setting with a 1.52 CT we saw in store. This is the ring we both fell in love with 🙂
And here is our stone in a temporary setting!
Sorry about the blurry pictures, I wasn’t sure how to take a clear picture of it hehe.
Thank you in advance!!
