So, ever since I can remember I knew if I ever got married I would keep my name. But I do like the idea of having unity as a family and so my Fiance and I were thinking of creating a new name for both of us to take on. We are both of Celtic heritage ( me Irish and him mostly Scottish) and so we were trying to find a Gaelic word that had a meaning that spoke to us. So far we have found two that we really like. One is super hard to spell so we might change it to be the phonetic spelling for ease. We are both lovers of music, I being a singer and him being a musician, and we live our life by the golden rule and try our very best to be honest and forthright with all who come into our path.
Please vote for which one you like the best or let us know any other idea you might have!

@Firinne: I love the idea of creating a new family name that is meaningful to you both! Either of the names would be great, but I wouldn’t count on having your name pronounced correctly very often unless you go with phonetic spelling.

I was going to select keep looking until I read your post.
I like the first name since you are both musically inclined, but the reason I was going to pick keep looking is bc boy is that name hard to pronounce! Once I read that you’re thinking about changing the spelling that helped me make my decision.

@babu22: Well, being mispronounced isn’t a huge things for me because my name I have right now is mispronounces everyday basically and no one spells it right. It is also ten letters long.

I think that is a great idea! But your two choices are way too difficult to pronounce. Without your help I would have no clue where to begin to pronounce the first one.

@Aicyla22: Yeah, if we go with the first one we will make it phonetic.
