- Wedding: September 2013
Well it’s sunday here in Vancouver and I have reached the end of my weekend 🙁 It was one of those weekends where we did alot of work so I’m not all that sad that it is soon to be over.
We decided that we needed to tackle our wedding favors and this was a great weekend to do it. pWe are having a vintage, country wedding at FH Dad’s ranch. It’s a perfect setting, free venue, what more could you ask for.
Of course to go with our theme we have chosen to give away pickled veggies as our favors. We love pickled veggies and if no one else does then great more for us!
This all started with some mason jars, a home canning kit (which I was gifted last christmas my my FMIL) and a book that I think really helped me with this project. We spent about 8 hours total bewteen saturday and sunday prepping and pickling. FH and I worked so well as a team, which we usually do, these gifts will mean that much more to us and our guests.
I just thought I would share my success with the hive becuase I have a great amount of relief now that we have 80 out of 120 favors complete. And to boot they cost a grand total of approximately $2.00 per person. A useful, ediable, themed, and inexpensive favor that is filled with love. I’m just so happy that I can add a positive post to the boards instead of the frantic, panicked, posts that I’m sure I will have plenty of.
Here are some pics for those who love looking at pics on the boards no matter what they are (I know I do!)
What have you bees done lately that was a great sucess and made you feel like your wedding will all come together?
If there are any bees out there who have any questions about pickling please feel free to ask!
