I love pickles!  Even when I wasn’t pregnant I craved pickles.  Now that I am pregnant good luck to whoever tries to stand in the way of me getting a pickle when I want one.  I haven’t heard that pregnant women should avoid them!

It’s not on the foods to avoid list, maybe some people think to avoid it because of the higher sodium content? If you went crazy and ate a whole jar or something it would be a lot of sodium.

I’ve also heard some people say it can help with morning sickness, although I never tried it. My desire for pickles is about the same as before pregnancy, I like them but don’t crave them. My only true craving has been for fruit.

Mrs. Meowerson :  Pickles were my fave!! I used to put them on everything! But… baby does not like them and it makes me so sad haha. I haven’t been able to eat pickles since I’ve become pregnant.

I had some cravings for pickles recently as well as cravings for salads with italian dressings or italian style vinaigrettes.  I think it is the vinegar-base that was appetizing lol.

I’m not craving pickled (I didn’t much care for them pre-pregnancy) but I am crazing a lot of vinegary/tangy/sour things. So I can relate 🙂

Pretty sure I’ve eaten a little bit of a lot of things I’m not supposed to while pregnant lol. Pickles are fine! Download the Ovia Pregnancy app, there’s a food checker in it that will tell you if a food is safe or not.

I eat pickles all the time. My OB said I could eat as many as I wanted. I also eat whatever I want and don’t really pay attention to all the guidelines. My baby is very healthy at 22w.

I have been craving pickles from the beginning, at 3 weeks BUT it’s becuase a friend makes pickles BUT I want homemade sweet pickles…not store ones (I don’t like those). I do have some homemade spicy ones from this friend and they’re pretty good but I swear she made sweet pickles.

Yea, I’ve heard pickles help with nausea. My gf after college forgot to took birth control for a few days and took them all at once. She was SO nauesous yet craving and eating pickles. She said it helped. HA
