@Kwhoa:  I attended one that was also renaissance themed, so it all came together nicely.  It was a hot day in August, and the shelters provided much needed shade, the couple hung ribbons off the edges of them so they worked like bright curtains, only with more movement and color…they did a hog roast and had an lute player…it was all lovely and I really had a great time!

@Kwhoa:  I would love to do this for my wedding, just looking for a good place!  A BBQ, candles in mason jars, streamers, just something fun and casual. I’m not really a girlie girl though!

We are having a simple reception of light refreshments, cake and punch after our early evening wedding. The next day we are having a HUGE pig roast (PARTY!!!) at a place exactly like you described. This place even has a kitchen, rest rooms, a volleyball court, a baseball field and parking for over 500 cars. And all for just $250 for all day and night!

I’ve actually been to 2 weddings that had receptions in a park pavilion. One had picnic tables and one had round tables. They were both awesome! We did a tented backyard wedding, which is kind of similar, and it was also awesome!
