- Wedding: May 2010
I just wanted to share some of these gorgeous pics, especially since I know other Bees are heading there for their honeymoon too. Darling Husband and I had already taken a few beach vacations before we got married (Hawaii, Jamaica, Turkey) and I’d already seen many of the major European cities (Paris, London, Rome, Amsterdam) so we decided to do something different this time. It was DH’s lifelong dream to see the country where his ancestors came from, and I was excited to share this dream with him. We made our own itinerary, rented a car, booked the hotels online based on TripAdvisor reviews, and just drove around the country for ten days staying somewhere different almost every night. I have to admit I was awed by the sheer beauty and tranquility of this country. Even though we were on the move the whole time, it was one of the most relaxing and romantic vacations of my life.
Hopefully the pics will resize and load properly…

The amazing Ashfor Castle! We splurged on our last night and stayed in a suite here:

Cliffs of Moher: (photo taken by Darling Husband leaning over the edge while I had my eyes closed and screaming in panic)
And a photo from Dublin, quite a bit in contrast to the others. This is Darling Husband, statue of James Joyce, and a merry Dubliner passed out on a Monday afternoon :)) Yes, they love their alcohol there.
