Not a diamond, but sits very high. I’ve had it for a week and so far no problem with it snagging on anything or hitting it off things ect..

Love my ring! And whileit has snagged some, i now just spin it around when putting on sweaters or whatever. No big deal!

Mine is set quite high and never snags on anything….when people ask me that, they kinda get the “huh?” look… I never really understood that, it’s not like it’s sharp or ragged on the sides lol.

I wanted my diamond to sit high. It’s so pretty and I felt like it was hiding before with the way it was sitting so low. I had it re-set to sit like it is in these pics ๐Ÿ™‚20150607_1055251IMG_20150708_124938_resized

Mine sits high and catches on everything, but that’s also because of the petal shapes. I’ve got eight corners that snag every sweater and have forced me to switch gloves from a knit pair to a fleece pair.

I have a high setting and it drives me crazy! It catches on everything and scratches me but I’ve gotten used to it so it’s not as bad anymore.

It’s impractical, it catches on things, snags, hard to get gloves on…but it’s just so pretty!! haha

I love it set high ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is my classic “Tiffany setting” fron the side, it sticks up about a centimeter. I haven’t had any problems with it, and I’m pretty clumsy!

And top view (with a wedding band I’m considering!). 1 ct, size 6.25.

If your jeweler isn’t doing what you’re asking…maybe it’s time to look for another jeweler?

MarmotaLinda:  Can I just say I’ve been wanting to see a side view of your amazing ring for months and just haven’t gotten around to asking?! It’s set perfectly, I love it!

I was worried about my high setting ring will snag too and hit stuff. It has a couple of times snagged on my sweaters but rarely. I was more worried of my handwatch than anything else since that large thing destroyed two of my favorite sweaters so heart broken. :(( it always snags on when I try to take them off.

But no problems with my ring really. ๐Ÿ™‚ it sparkls like crazy! Especially in the bathroom! Pictures won’t do its justice. ๐Ÿ™

Excuse the nails. I have a .5 princess halo on a cathedral setting

blingstyle:  mine is really high and I do whack it on things sometimes, but it’s sturdy so nothing has been damaged.
