I just love pets so much – this is the perfect antidote to the “my husband isn’t a dog person” thread haha.

We are definitely, FREAKISHLY dog people. She is our child. We love her. Naturally, she was a big part of our engagement photos and she completely stole the show.

This is Laverne, our rescue shih-tzu.  I’m NOT a small dog person. But our Mastiff/Lab picked her out.

Always happy to share pics of my boys!

(Left to Right) Linus, Hamburgler (Red and White) and Big Milky Mike

Our pup LOVES the steers, and they seem to like him, too. I made a post about unlikely friends, but will share here, too:

We also have piggies, chickens, and roosters. I have some pics of the piggies when they were little, but don’t take many pics of them. We recently let 3 roosters out to free roam but I don’t have pictures of them either. It seems one of them has some faulty legs, though it doesn’t seem to hinder him from getting to food and water. I’ve taken to calling him Oswald (as in Oswald Cobblepot, the Penguin from Batman) since he is black and white and hobbles like a penguin.

Funny story, we actually had a friend call us late last night because our steers had gotten out. Oops! We were painting fence earlier in the day and my grandpa opened a gate to paint around the post and closed the gate, but didn’t latch it, so they had a midnight romp. Our friend saw them because one was across the road. He didn’t know who’s steers they were, but it was pretty clear when they followed him up the driveway when he came to knock on the door. Luckily SO has his phone number on the side of his truck for his snow plowing business, so he just called him up and was like – hey, you got some steers loose! They get lovin’s regularly so they’re friendly and were pretty easy to wrangle back up. They only wandered out into the corn field next to the house, and just across the street. Luckily nobody hit one in the middle of the night. Always fun on the farm!
