I’m OBSESSED with my new ring since not being happy and getting it redone by a real jeweler. Diamonds on the side are now inlaid and it is beyond sparkletastic! I get so many compliments!

orangeice: Thank you so much!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a moissy! I ended uo getting the ring at moissaniteco.com, but found the setting somewhere else first. It’s a vintage repro setting with an 8mm OEC FB moissy.
Here is the link:
http://www.moissaniteco.com/2ct-round-brilliant-cut-moissanite-antique-reproduction-ring-p-11554.html

I spent weeks looking at both antique rings and repro settings, and the true antiques that I loved were insanely priced. This ring gave me the look and durability I wanted, at a fraction of the price of an antique. When I fianlly got the ring, I was like ” OMG is this too big?” Then I went back and looked at all the other settings again and I still loved mine the most. Since its OEC, they usually face up a little bigger and the setting also makes it look larger.

If you are interested in the setting with another center stone, let me know and I will find the seller who had just the setting for sale. That was the route that I was going to take origianlly. After I found the setting, I researched alternative center stones, read up on moissy, Asha and “Lab Diamonds.” Dediced to go with a moissy, and when I found out that they were available in OEC, it sealed the deal. Came across moissaniteco when pricing out loose stones and discoverd that they made the ring that I had just spend days reaserching and putting together, LOL. Oops, this is long! Hope it helps ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my grandmothers diamond. Hearts and arrows. I usually wear it as a right hand ring but I’m really loving round brilliant cuts at the moment. It’s paired with a white and rose gold diamond band dress ring. I took the picture hoping to catch some of the arrows. Please excuse my finger muffin top lol.

PolkaDotBandit: omg you are the best!! Thank you for all that info and the link! I am now so tempted to get that ring … but I am so sad it only comes in 8mm. I have size 4 fingers, and I honestly don’t know if that would work! But I’m happy to know this ring is out there and affordable and gorgeous ๐Ÿ˜‰

orangeice: Glad to share the info! Since your fingers are small, have you considered doing a RHR that looks more cocktail with a colored stone?
Here is a photo of what that would look like. I was origianlly wanting a ruby for my center stone, but liked this setting better with a clear stone, so that is why I got a moissy.
