One of my friends is doing our slideshow for us, and I had started getting pictures gathered for myself… and spent today putting them in order (family, friends, some couple)… and will eventually do his once his mom provides me some of his photos from his childhood. I figured at least starting on mine will be a start!
After finally going through what photos I wanted, it’s well over 200! I did a search online and some sites have said that 100 each, and then maybe 50 a couple is perfect. I am fine with that… but now to decide what photos to use and take out, all while still getting family/friends in the slideshow (I love when I’m included in friends!).
Would people rather see more photos of of someone as a baby/kid vs. as an adult?

depends on how close i am to them.
i enjoy seeing baby/kid photos of my siblings, relatives, or good friends…for random people, it can get kinda boring. i like seeing what people looked like as a child, but i don’t need to many pics to get the idea.

I think variety is the key to keeping people intersted.
If you’re 25, how about having 2 per year = 50. And spread them out over a variety of settings and with different people, such as a beloved grandparent, who has passed.

My sister and I made a photo slideshow for my cousin’s wedding. I think we had about 60 photos total and the video was about 6 minutes. Since the slideshow was for the bride, we mostly had pictures of her growing up, but the end was pictures of her and the groom. We tried to pick mostly really cute/special or funny pictures of her growing up, or pictures of her with people who are attending the wedding.

Thats what we did. We put baby pictures of us and then showed pictures of us together

Good info from all!
I’m 33, so the amount of pics is more than someone who would have gotten married when they were 25. My friend doing the slideshow said it didn’t matter the amount of pics, so I’m waiting to see what FI’s mom and sister pull together and will weed out some of mine from that.
I also have realized that I don’t need multiple pics with the same people – but want to have at least one picture with those attending – friends and family.
