Our wedding photographer did a good job of going table to table and getting pictures of families and couples during our reception. We have had a few families ask for copies of these and we have happily obliged.
It got me thinking… Would it be weird to send people pictures of themselves (and their family) in their Christmas card? I thought it would be a nice gesture but Darling Husband told me he thought it would be weird.
So, if you opened your card and found a picture of you (and your SO/Family), would you find it weird? I personally would think it was neat as Darling Husband and I don’t have very many pictures together. These pictures are not on Facebook or anything so they can’t just print them off themselves.

I wouldn’t find it weird. I definitely would like to receive a picture from family (: Go for it!
ETA: I would only find it weird if someone I barely ever talked to or saw did it though – kind of like those annoying Christmas letters where people brag about their lives aha.

@MrsBeck: I think it’s an awesome idea. People were all dressed up and were shot by a professional photographer! What an awesome little gift!

I would do the same thing! Especially since people have asked!

We did that (but with our thank you cards, which were sent out months before christmas). Folks loved it!

Cool idea – just add a little note with the card.

I wouldn’t mind a print or something, but I woudln’t want my own picture on a christmas card sent to me at all. I like seeing pictures of my friends and family on cards for the season and display them on the fridge or buffet. I have enough pictures of my own family around the house, Xmas cards is to see a nice family picture everyone else to me!
