I was able to pick up my new engagement ring on Monday and am completley in LOVE with it! It’s a half carat center stone with a round halo, same as my previous ring just with a bigger stone.) I have been messing around all day trying to get some good pictures of it, but can’t seem to get any good ones! Do any of you have tips on good locations or lights to use, or props that you place the ring on?
Here are a few pictures that I managed to take.

@Amanda26267: Congratulations on your new engagement ring!!!
Lots and lots of light, preferably sunlight, a steady hand, and patience. If you have a camera with “macro” mode (looks like a little flower, most cameras and some camera phones have it) that works wonders. Pricescope has a good but very um…thorough post on it which can be found here; http://www.pricescope.com/forum/show-me-the-ring/how-to-take-good-photos-of-your-diamonds-t102989.html

Thank you for the suggestions! I read through that article and a few more and have determined you’re right. Light is the key!
