Is it just the photos, or does the green have a slight blue-ish tint to it?

Oh it’s totally still green… I do love that color!

I would avoid greens with yellow undertones (think olive, lemongrass, moss) and stick to greens with blue undertones.  I think you could safely add a more bold sage, and even brighter greens as well.

The color you chose has a nice beachy feel to me.  You might want to stick to whites, bolder and brighter sages, then add an accent color.

I would stick to white curtains.  I think that the dark shades could look beautiful in there, but I wouldn’t complicate the room with a colored drape.  Maybe slightly patterened or sheer white curtains.  If you want a pop of color you could add a bright tie back.

Possible accents:

Brown: I know you like naturals, so maybe a nice khaki, or dark tan.  Darker than the carpet, maybe even a dark brown.  You could add this with accent furniture, a lounge chair, a bench at the end of the bed.  You could have a natural branch jewelry holder, or curly willow in a nice vase.  I see that some of your picture frames are a dark brown.. go with that, make the blinds or roman shades a similar color.

Purple:  It inherently has a blue undertone but wouldn’t necessarily accent the blue in the wall – it would just go, and could be a nice bold accent.  Think eggplant side lamps with a white shade, a nice purple blanket or accent pillow, a glass vase on the high dresser.

Basically I’d stick to simlar family greens, white & browns & pick an accent color that you can’t live without!

Sure.  And purple doesn’t have to be the accent at all.  I’d bring in a couple things that you love, colors you are crazy about, and see how it works with the paint.  Maybe a orangey red.. things like that to add a little pop.

Even just the brown and white will accent the walls well.  It’s all layering.  I hope that others can give you great advice too!

Maybe you could do a darker accent wall? I really like brown with green and a “natural” feel.

I could totally see bringing in the dark wood to accent as well. That way you could keep the light wall color and light bedding

Maybe a dark leather sitting chair

A darker wood bed frame with light bedding:

I also love the dramatic drapes here.  Mounted high above the windows and goign all the way to the floor.  Maybe do a slightly darker shade for these?

Or you could go something a bit more chic rustic country:

I think you are going to have to add some darker “accent” color though.  That wall color is too light to only have that and white in the room.

Maybe even something like this (light walls, dark dresser, or bed or chair)

One way that I really like to add color are floating shelves with some pops of color! They would look really nice in a khaki or a chocolate! Also you could throw a runner under your tv and incorporate some color there.

I think a nice muted blue would also work well in this room. You could tie in white, greens, muted blues, and tans/brown. It’d be a nice pallette 🙂
