I previously posted about how I was unsure about whether I should go ahead and swap out the .25 center diamond that I had for a new .75 Amora Moissanite, but I am SO glad that I did! My husband and I are both so happy with the results and I’ve gotten so many compliments on how sparkly my new ring is which feels nice compared to being questioned about whether or not my ring was an e-ring or a promise ring before 😛
Here is a pic of my former .25 diamond e-ring.
Well I finally got a chance to take some pictures and thought I would share them to help out any bees that are looking into amora in the future (hopefully they restock soon!)
So here is my .75 Amora Moissanite (loose stone from MoissaniteCo) that is set in my existing diamond band.

It is beautiful, congratulations! So, how do you think it compares to your diamond? Is it just as sparkly and white? Does it show more color? Does it have the same amount of depth, or does it look glassy?
I want your opinion because you’ve had both a diamond AND a moissanite. Thanks in advance!

@Azalea_Bee: Thanks! I actually love it way more than my diamond and not just because it’s larger. It is more sparkly in all types of light, whereas my diamond didn’t sparkle quite as much unless it was in the light.
It only has a slight yellow warmth to it (not very noticeable) in the gross lights at some grocery stores. Everywhere else it is just as white as my side diamonds. I was worried how it would look when set next to the diamonds because they are very white but in most lights you can’t tell at all that they have a different colour.
I also think that it has more depth, but this could be because the stone is larger than my last one so theres more to look at inside lol.
Overall I definitely prefer my moissanite to the diamond that I had and have no intention of switching it out for a diamond later in life because I love the stone that I now have 🙂

Beautiful! I love Moissonite! Can I ask you where you got it in Canada? I live in Victoria and there are no places here, even Moisyco isn’t slated to have them by December!

@nambi_pambi: Thanks! I’m sorry they ran out 🙁 My husband was lucky enough to order the stone when there were only 2 left from moissaniteco.com and we shipped it to Canada. He placed the order on a wednesday afternoon and it was here in Ontario by the next day! I’ve also ordered a non-enhanced moissanite necklace from them before and it came quickly too.
I really hope that they restock soon for everyone!
@SpicyThaiLove: Thank you! My ring is a size 5. I was debating ordering a 1 ct but Im glad I went with the .75 because even that took a while for me to get used to after having gotten used to the .25 on my finger. The jeweller who set the stone said that it actually measured to be closer to the equivalent of a .8 because of the way it was cut.
