I had a ‘side tiara’, basically a metal alice band with a large side ornament. So easy to wear and not too overwhelming. I initially planned on wearing a flower but it didn’t look right with the dress so I settled on something a bit more formal with a bit more bling. Found it on a website called http://www.glitzysecrets.com.

My Maid/Matron of Honor made mine. That picture is the best picture I have of it right now. It really is gorgeous. I did end up wearing a veil with mine as well but I don’t have any pictures of that yet.

I was going to wear a flower that I bought, but I wore my hair down and it stuck out to much on the side of my head and I didn’t like it. My alterations person handmade me a hairpiece that matched the appliques on my dress and surprised me with it as a gift. I thought that was so nice of her. And it was flat, so it worked better for me!

Above is the flower I made for my friend to wear to her wedding… Below are the ones I made for the bridal party. I have yet to get my dress yet, but I plan to do a cathedral length veil and then just a big DIY flower for the reception.

I bought a purple fascinator from Etsy last week. It hasn’t arrived in the mail yet so I don’t have any pictures of me wearing it.
