Here the cake I am planning to do for our wedding, it’s covered with buttercream. I could do fondant, but buttercream will be easier to do and tastier.

@GeorgiaTeacup: I’m not sure, but here’s the tutorial for the ROSE CAKE

 

She also has a tutorial for how to do vertical layers (most cakes have horizontal). I highly recommend checking out the cakes on her blog. She does tutorials for most of them, too. Laughing

I personally hate the taste of fondant and find that ‘real’ cakes look so much more authentic and beautiful. We are doing this sunflower cupcake/cake type thing..kind of hard to explain but will be cheap, easy and fit our sunflower/summer theme!
