i actually really like the dress on you! i think it looks great! but if you feel like you want a dropped waist, you should keep looking. i’ve had the same dilemma myself, and i think i’m going with a dropped waist dress. 🙂

@Quickiebee:  I love it!  I was really disappointed when I found out Alfred Angelo discontinued their Swiss dot dress but I wasn’t brave enough to go look for it at David’s.  I still absolutely love this dress and I would probably order it if it were available online but alas, it is only available in stores.

As for jazzing it up wear some statement jewelry and carry a nice bouquet.  I would lose the band/sash because to me it looks a bit awkward that high up.

I think it’s gorgeous on you! I don’t see one thing I don’t like actually, the back is lovely and it makes your waist look tiny, the pleats in the front make you look ridiculously tall and statuesque, and it’s classy and sophisticated while being more casual and beachy. I think it’s perfect.

And I can’t see red panties lol

I am wearing a similar dress (Alfred Angelo 2171) and putting my bridesmaids in shorter cocktail dresses with the groom and his groomsmen in casual linen suits.  If it’s your style to be more understated and casual then nobody will be surprised and you will actually be comfortable.  I wore the big poofy tafetta gown for my first wedding and it was so uncomfortable and not me at all but I felt like I had to dress up to meet expectations.  This time around I went for casual comfort and I actually look forward to wearing my dress.

I really like it! And not every dress has to “do something” for every part of your body. The skirt looks great.

Hi there, I really really love your dress – I personally don’t think it needs a sash. I like that sort of style but to give you something more to think about – I would have gone for a similar style but my fiance commented that it looks like the kind of dress that ‘n pregnant bride would wear as it would hide the pregnancy perfectly. You clearly have a beautiful figure – if you can show off more you might want to consider to do it – as you know men can have a very different way of looking at things 😛  This is now a style I’m looking at for my bridesmaid so that I still have it in my wedding somewhere 😛
