I feel this has gone on far too long. After deciding to actually have a wedding dress rather than just a white summer dress, I fell for tulle poof dresses, but took you bees’ advice and tried some stuff on. I had to get tipsy to get through that, but it was still fun. Then I found a lovely lightweight swiss dot dress that I thought would be perfect for my casual outdoor wedding. I didn’t hesitate to order it. I have now been waiting for weeeeekkssss!
And! It! Came! Today!
so I will force your to wait no longer! I know what you want to see: pictures!
The tulle is pleasant to touch, and flowey and the swiss dots are just charming. Also it fits me so well I am tempted to not have it altered. I will, of course… The bust should be taken in a bit, and it needs to be about two inches shorter…
i don’t like the back, have always been partial to awesome backs, and this is a far cry. I want a v back and a bow. Unfortunately leaving it a bit unzipped made the front absolutely fall forward. I suppose I will take that up with the seamstress, to see if it is at all possible. Excuse my poor choice of red panties.
So, the rouching is all in the front. (Excuse the hanger ribbon) I’m sure that is slimming in practice, what with the hips only being colored by one layer rather than gathered folds, but I wasn’t expecting it. I don’t hate it, I just… Eh.
I tried it on with a sash, kind of liked it. Maybe it is just me, but it kind of made my hips less severe…
It really doesn’t do a thing for my lower body, does it… Also, i hate the side line that shows change from front to back (Rouched/not rouched) and the boobs seem a tidbit pointy.
Overall, the dress is ridiculously lightweight, feels great on is really beautiful, and I like it. My wedding is casual. So… That is fine, right? Or am I totally slacking and need to go find the PERFECT dress? I kind of miss the idea of a dropped waist… I’m simple, and this is reflected here… But maybe too much?
For reference, I’m 5’7″ wearing some 6″ or so heels… And the dress is a David’s bridal size 4
