She sounds like she is trying to get you to pay her back and that’s bullsh*t. I seriously would wash my hands of this girl if she can’t trust you as a friend to be honest with her than she isn’t being honest with you. She sounds quite shady.

MemberMy friends are standing by me, they understand & agree with my side, but they’re just trying to make peace because its their sister. They know I’m doing the responsible & right thing. So to help out my friends I told them the other day I could send the vet bills. Instead, they just said to FB message the breakdown of the total cost of Piddles. If it weren’t for my friends I would have just said “I already told you where it went on FB” & done nothing more.
So I sent ex-owner a breakdown of EVERYTHING I did for her dog & found out she owed me more before she even surrendered Piddles. At the end I said I also drove over 300 miles/missed a few days of work/my screen door was broken/etc. I was very straight-forward because she kept saying she was confused where her money went. I took her dog in mid March & she didn’t pay me anything til mid May (I covered it & she paid me back 2 months later) & the next time she had her sister pay me & that’s it.
& I understand wanting to know where her money went, but she never contacted me over the past 3 months for anything else. I had to contact her for everything, even good updates. She wouldn’t return my phone calls, she would take days or a week to email me back. I was trying to tell her that her dog was very sick & she ignored it. I could go on & on about many other things, but I need to stop or I’ll upset myself.
We’ll see what happens next… if she wants an actual vet bill, she can call my vet & ask for it, I’m not wasting more of my time on this. Mostly its the stress of it that I can’t handle.

MemberPart of the reason I’m upset is that the owner was able to find 5 homes for the pups (I didn’t let them go, so they’re still with me) & yet she couldn’t find someone to take in Piddles… its kinda depressing.
MemberI become more and more angry every day that I’m stuck in a building that doesn’t allow pets…I keep torturing myself looking at all the sweet furballs that need homes on my local SPCA’s website and wishing I could adopt even one of them.
MemberEveryone wants them when they’re little, cute and healthy. Older, sickly, or any kind of behavioral problem, and you get ignored, abandoned, or put down.
Exactly! And what happens if the puppies get sick? Or need spaying/neutering? And puppies need shots. Are they willing to shell out the bucks?

Piddles’ new name is Keena & she’s doing very well. She’s getting spayed at the vet in 1 week & today I was told that ALL her diarrhea is GONE!!!!! I’m so extremely happy for this, I wish I could like throw a party… but I guess I’ll just have a WB party :)!
I got enough donations to cover the vet bill for Piddles/Keena as well as to help get the pups their shots & de-wormed yesterday (Tuesday). Poor pups had roundworms too & the worms were pretty big :(.
I’m still working on sending out the pics & my thank yous, I’m really sorry I haven’t finished yet. I’ll email those who donated where your money went to.
So things are looking up! 3 pups have homes & 2 others are strong maybe’s. Thanks to you all again for your support & encouragement. Seems like there will be no more pet drama in my world for awhile :).
