We did a Pie Bar and it was a huge hit. All we had left at the end of our night was 3/4 of a pumpkin pie (we had 109 guests)   I don’t remember how many pies we had. I know we had 5 flavors and they were $21 a pie. Each pie served 8 mini slices. That way people could try different flavors.

go for it! i’m having a mix of cake and pie. since you’re already having cake, i would just do 2 pies and cut the pieces a little smaller than standard. depending where you get it, a pie can run $10-20.

I love pie 🙂

If he doesnt like cake then he should definitely get something he can enjoy.

You can have your pie baker create some shapes out of the crust and then bake and place on top of the pie…Or is you want them to write something they can bake letters then place on top of the pie…You can also get  super cute cake topper off of Etsy and place it on top of the pie Wink  HOORAY FOR PIES Tongue out

I’m also hoping for pie at the wedding!  I think we’ll have a small cake to cut, but…I feel like more people like pie than cake??  Plus it’s something different.  Maybe have whipped cream/ice cream/etc. toppings??  Oooh fun!

You could get a really cool cake stand/pie stand to set it up on too, like the wedding colors.

Pie sounds great! However, I don’t think that 3 pies will be enough for 25 people.

As far as cost, it’s much cheaper than cake. Most grocery stores charge about $2-5 per pie and they serve 6 people each.  You just pick up whatever flavors you want from the bakery and they don’t need to know what you are doing with them. Also have whipped cream available.
