I am 9 days out from my wedding and I believe I am spotting a few hidden pimples under the skin that might emerge into these monsters. I got a facial 2 weeks ago and it was helpful with the extractions to bring out the stuff and not keep longterm bumps. Is it too soon to my wedding date? I am on dermatologist prescribed topical meds too but I haven’t been on it long enough to know how it reacts to settling pimples under the skin. Any tips are appreciated!

Drink plenty of water, including a glass of warm glass with meon in it each morning. It is too close to the weding to get another facial. Continue your skin routine and eat as healthy as possible and the pimples should go away 🙂

if you can, get an RX for clyndamycin. it’s topical and it brings whatever is trapped under the skin to head, pratically overnight and then once you get the crap out, it dries things up. i have been on EVERYTHING under the sun, and this stuff seems to work the best. it doesn’t dry out the skin or have other weird side affects either. its gentle but effective.

Make an appointment with your dermatologist, they have better options that topical creams to prevent pimples from making an appearance on your big day.

If they’re cystic bumps, go to the derm and get a cortisone shot. That will shrink them right up.

Drink plenty water and stop dairy for now… wrapped an ice cube in a clean cloth and put it on the spots you feel the pimple coming up for 10 seconds at a time … that should keep them at bay

I second the advice for the cortisone shot!
What topical gel do you have? A dab of most prescriptions over the affected area will help clear it up.

I’m a sucker for salt water every night. Works wonders for me. And, you can try it tonight. I see results the next day. Does your skin clear up after a day at the beach? Bam! Salt water magic! lol
I usually fill a mug will little water (spring or filtered preferably- about 1/8 of the way full) and then add about 2 teaspoons SEA salt. Put in microwave for about 25 seconds. Wash face with regular wash. Pat dry but leave a little damp. Add warm (not hot) salt water to face with cotton ball and leave on 10-15 min. It’ll feel dry. It might sting, but not badly. Rinse and continue face regime as normal. Give it a try tonight and go from there. I do it every night (I may skip 1 night if my face is getting dry in the winter). Saved my sanity!
If it doesn’t work, call a derm. But be aware, if you’ve never been to a derm before (or even if you have) sometimes the waiting list is MONTHS even for a simple cortisone shot (at least for the derms in my area). They might take pity with it being your wedding in a week. If it’s not cystic acne, they most likely will not give you the shot.
For me, I would try anything to shrink them versus bringing them to the skin. I’m very fair skinned and even if the pimple is gone, once it’s been brought to a head the redness can last days for me. But everyone is different.
Edit: I prefer otc topicals with either benzoly peroxide or sulfur. Pan Oxyl has a great topical spot treatment!
