I’m 17 weeks right now, Monday I will be 18 weeks. Last night while watching TV I got this pinch in my abdomen about an inch to the right of my belly button. It isn’t really painful but it’s noticeable and annoying really. I chalked it up to something I ate and went to bed. All night I was waking up with this pinch in the same spot and still when I woke up this morning the pinch is there. It’s about an inch to my right of my belly button and it hurts but it’s not bad or anything, just uncomfortable.
I have my next OB appointment Tuesday, it his pain isn’t bad so I just assume its harmless but I thought I would get your opinions before making any decisions. Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

I would recommend going to the doctor, or at least calling the office to see what they say. You just never know…. Don’t wait until the appointment if you don’t have to; they may be able to squeeze you in earlier!

@bebelicious1: that’s what I’m wondering but since its the weekend the office is closed until Monday and I just don’t know if it’s ER worthy or not. Wish they had a nurse hotline to call like other offices 🙁

Pinching is very normal! I had pinching by my belly button around 20-24 weeks and I didn’t worry about it because I know pregnancy can do different things. I asked my OB about it and she said pinching is a very normal sign, baby is growing and moving around and you’ll feel all sorts of weird things.
No worries on the pinching! 🙂

As @Lyndzo: said, pinching is totally normal. Your uterus is getting stretching a LOT right now. I was feeling all sorts of weird pinches between 13-18 weeks front & center (where my placenta happens to be).

It’s probably just round ligament pain. Totally normal.

I had pinching ALL THE TIME when I was pregnant starting around 15 weeks. It was only round ligament pains, but I remember being very concerned when it first started happening (probably because at first, it was very painful). It is nothing to be alarmed about though. Your body is just growing. I would suggest calling your doctor/nurse if you are concerned, but I wouldn’t think it would be anything worth a trip to the ER.
