I need some opinions – would pink and brown be nice colors for a fall wedding, or should those colors be used in the spring? I’m thinking I will have a November wedding and love pink and brown but am not sure if the pink would be too "springy".

I think it would work. The brown makes it more fallish, but even if it didn’t I wouldn’t pick colors based on a season. We are doing Navy and white, which is definitely more summery, but we are having a fall weddign and they are our favorite colors, so we are going with thme anyways.

Well speaking from experience I think it woudl be just fine. And by experience I mean I just had my wedding last week in November, and my colors were chocolate brown and light pink. 🙂 And eveything looked great. I would say I had more brown than pink, the pink was sort of more of an accent to the brown. The bridesmaids dresses were dark brown, and carried bouqets of 4 large light pink gerbera daisies and pink pearl jewlery. The groomsmen wore light brown/tan colored suits with dark brown vests and light pink ties. Everyone I talked to said they thought it looked great. Just like Newport Nupitals mentioned, they are my favorite colors and regardless of season I wanted to use them for my wedding.

Hello everyone! I totally agree with the last postings. If you like pink and brown just work with those colors, no matter the season. I think it is a nice combination of colors. For instance, my wedding will be May 2009 and I picked tiffany blue and pink, which are not the most accurate colors for the season but my favorite ones. Good luck with planning!

I agree, as long as you and your future husband are happy with pink and brown, go for it. Pink is a good color for flowers and brown is perfect for fall. Are you leaning towards a chocolate shade or a lighter brown?

I definitely think it would work. i just went to a wedding Thanksgiving weekend that had pink, brown and green as the main colors with some orange in the florals. Nothing seemd out of place at all. If you want to see pictures
I just did a recap post on my blog. http://www.myweddingreport.com
You can see she did brown linens with green ribbon on the vases and then used pink in some of the flowers, stationary and other little detials. But I would say go with what you want.
What shade of pink are you thinking?

As someone who has attended many weddings before becoming engaged, I will say that I never evaluated colors relative to whether or not they fit the season:) I think that you should choose colors you like, and I think you made a fabulous choice (speaking from another pink/brown bride):)
