(Closed) Pink and Navy Blue

Oh smurfette, I am smiling at you.  I was soooo lost on the idea of colors.  Everybody seems to have really concrete plans, complicated color schemes that relate somehow to their themes, and I was completely lost.  I finally decided to think about flowers and dresses.  I looked at my favorite flowers that are available in the timeframe of my wedding – lisianthus.  They only come in white, pink and lavender. (You might need the help of a florist on this one.)  Then I looked at bouquets that came in those colors, and loved them.  Then I talked to my sister about dresses – she really likes the Ann Taylor Celebrations dresses, which come in pink and blue, but not lavender.  Looking back at my bouquets, a lot of them had pink, lavender, and blue…  Then it sort of started to come together.

Anyway, I think if you maybe start to think about just one element – like flowers – or like dresses – and look only at that, you can get the start of an idea.  About a hundred pictures later (they are ALL OVER the internet, or for flowers your florist will have books and books) you will suddenly find that you have an inspiration – and are ordering samples of ribbon and favor boxes in "your colors."  Then the table linens and all that other stuff sort of falls into line.

I like the idea of navy blue tablecloths with pink napkins, especially if the napkins are flowered in the wine glasses!

You can brighten up the tables with pink & white centerpieces, and lots of candles!

go to a craft store (michaels, joanns) and just walk around with a note pad, you’ll be suprised at what pops into your head. I am NOT a crafty person but I went to michaels during christmas clearance and went CRAZY.. my colors are blues (mostly navy) and white
