That could be super cute! And super yummy. I say do it if you can! I know they would get eaten pretty quickly around my family.

It sounds like a really cool idea.  But since you’re having your wedding in June, I wonder if the sugar would melt in the heat and make a sticky mess. If your venue is air conditioned, that might not be a problem though.

WATCH My Fair Wedding with David Tutera again when the episode is called Hearts.  It should be on again this Sunday around either 8 or 9pm est time before the new episode.  Reason I say this.  They used pink rock candy sticks and then had strawberry flavored pink cotton candy wrapped around the rock candy as favors and had them sticking up in cool little clear glasses.  It was soo cool!!  She had ALL PINK like me!! 🙂  I was so excited to see it!

I consider myself to be a cotton candy connosissuer and I think that if it is left on the table in June more than a very short time it will melt.  I left a bag open on the table once while I took a shower and it was melted by the time I came out 🙁  it was a sad day.

@gr8tlexi:  Mine was on the kitchen table with the air on full (fh likes it really cool).  Have you tried to DIY some fake cotton candy?

@tksjewelry: I think it is WB, it is acting weird for me as well.

@gr8tlexi: I think it sounds like an excellent idea :-). It is unique, tasty, and will look really nice with the gray items at your wedding. I love it.

This is a pic of fake cotton candy from http://www.weddingsbycolor.com

maybe make with spray painted polyfill-I would stretch the batting before I wound it around the cone-glueing it down as I went.

@julies1949: That is a neat idea :-). I would be afraid one of the kids would try to eat it though (if there are kids). I bought decorations for my candy buffet table that look like chocolates (actually are mini candles). Everyone told me to watch out for the children. I didn’t even think of that!

@gr8tlexi: Nah, definitely not a bad a idea. I wish I was more like you in being able to think outside the box!

@gr8tlexi: Your post reminded me of a recent experience at Alexander’s Steakhouse. It was my first time there, and they finish with cotton candy…a crowd pleaser to end an amazing meal 🙂 Fun and whimsical, and put a smile on everyone’s face. People even requested to-go boxes for it! Here’s a photo I found thanks to google:
