What are your thoughts on pink diamond engagement rings?
Too girly? I think they are gorgeous, but wonder if they are too girly for the workplace or if I might grow out of the look because it isn’t exactly ‘classic’ ???
Does anybody have one?

I don’t have one, but I would have loved a pink diamond engagement ring. I have seen some online that are absolutely beautiful. If that is what you love, then go for it! You are going to be wearing it for the rest of your life, so get something you know you love!

Ugh, I LOVE them! I don’t have one and wanted to go with a more traditional diamond but am definitely considering getting a pink wedding band, probably with tourmaline though, not diamond. If you think you’ll love it than I say go for it!

I think they are spectacular, but pink diamonds are so expensive. I mean, like a half carat pink diamond is like $50,000. Do you have the sort of budget for that or would you get an irradiated stone (meaning it has been hated to add color)? Diamondsbylauren.com has some beautiful colored diamonds.

This is 3/4 of a carat and $48,000… It is incredible though.

I’m not super girly and I don’t really wear pink, but I LOVE pink stones! I have a pink sapphire (right hand) that I wear constantly and I don’t think it’s too ott. I’d love to have a pink diamond engagement ring 🙂 I don’t think it’s too girly at all.

Pink diamond is extremely expensive… I don’t know anyone who has one yet. I know that Katie Holmes has some pink diamonds on her engagement ring, that’st it. It won’t be too girly, it will be gorgeous.

My eternity ring will be made up of pink stones, but not diamonds because only the rich can afford the amount I’d need haha

I love all diamonds, regardless of color!

Love them! I considered a pink diamond and would have totally went with it had it been something my FI was more comfortable with. He really wanted it to be super traditional so I didn’t push the subject. I don’t think the pink is out of place at work etc. If you love it, go for it!

Pink diamonds are gorgeous. I considered canary yellow diamonds, too. If you don’t care to be traditional, go for it. I don’t see how something can be “too girly” for work. You’re a girl and it’s your e-ring!!
But, are you the type of person who gets tired of things easily? If so, then it might not be for you. A simple, classic ring is probably best because you won’t tire of it.
Or, if you and your FI are ok with the idea of upgrading, you can always get the pink diamond now and in 5-10 years get something else.

@Miss Leopard: Omg, I had no idea they were that expensive! lol… any pink stone would be nice 🙂 I think I’m going with a classic plain diamond, though, because I have a feeling I might grow out of the pink when I’m a bit older

I’d love a pink diamond ring, and I’m not a girly girl, but even the teeny tiny one I liked at De Beers was £30k (about $50k).

Oh, I’d love a pink diamond. But they are much too expensive for us as regular folk. I got a pink sapphire in a diamond setting instead.
