I read your note to my Fil whos been in the jewelery biz for over 35 years. And he says: If you are sitting on a set of natural pink diamond that big than you are sitting on a TON of money. Like $50k-1 mil. That is assuming they are NATURAL. And not treated or enhanced. You can insure them easily. But you would need to get them appraised and certified. (the cert would also determine if they’re natural or not ). And enhanced or treated colored diamond isn’t as expensive and not worth as much simply bc it’s “fake”. Real diamond but not real color.

Also, over 40 years old would probably be considered vintage.

Wow, those sound pretty!  I know natural pink diamonds are pretty rare!

My wedding band is white gold with pink diamonds so this thread caught my eye! Pink diamonds were expensive! I could not imagine what they are worth if it is a natural pink diamond and that large! I am jealous if they are! I would have loved a pink diamond as a centre stone! But I am excited to have the wedding band! Keep us posted

What a gorgeous, meaningful gift from your grandma! I hope you can get them appraised and insured as soon as you get them, and find a jeweler you trust!  πŸ™‚
