Can you get a pink evap on a FRER? I took a test last night and tossed it, not seeing anything (I thoroughly examined it lol). This morning when I threw something out I swore I saw something on the test so I picked it up and I am seeing a verryyy faint line that is pink, not colorless. I know it’s way outside of the window, but I’m curious because I thought evaps were grey, not color. With my miscarriage earlier this year, my first test was a Dollar Store cheapie that was a faint grey within the 5 minute mark, then turned faintly pink after 10 mins and then was a clear positive after 30, so that made me question if this is possibly the same thing. I’m guessing not, with a FRER, but figured you experts may know.

beebee27 : Don’t trust anything after the timeframe. Bury the test under day-old pasta in your garbage so you’re not tempted.

Yes, if you are pregnant then a line can show up hours later. If you test a guy’s pee, it will NEVER make a line. At 10DPO, my Dollar Tree line showed up very faint in 3 minutes, but my Walmart test didn’t show a line until an hour later.
I’ve never used First Response, so I don’t know anything about them specifically. I suggest you get a Dollar Tree test.

Yes, I have had that happen several times with FRER’s. I do not look at them outside of the window, because I’ve had stark white tests turn pink the next day.

Re-test. That test is invalid.

I have never had on turn pink in 13 years and I kept them for progression, that said the reactive strip can show up a grey color.

I’ve gotten an Evap on FRER and it was clearly pink

beebee27 : I’ve had both happen.
I’ve had a faint almost non-existent positive show up a few hours later once it dried and it was clear as day. The next day I got a darker lined and confirmed the positive.
I’ve also had an evap show up after it dried and a test next day confirmed it was negative.
It can go either way, from my experience, so the only way you’ll know for sure is to wait a day and just take another test!

Technically, PPs are correct that the results are not valid. However, I never had a test turn pink or come up with a line when I wasn’t pregnant. I did have tests not show the line until past the time frame, though. Test again to be sure.

Thanks, ladies! I did retest and got a BFN. I have decided that if I don’t get a BFP this next cycle (#6 post-miscarriage), I’ll make an appointment with my OB to discuss next steps. It took 9 months for my daughter, 13 for the miscarriage, and I just turned 37.

I’ve had both blue and pink (including FRER) turn pink after the time frame when I was NOT pregnant. Don’t give in to re-examining old tests, nothing but false hope and heartbreak down that road.
just re-test in a day or two and you will have your answer. (Easier said that some, I know).
