@FutureHarp: I love the idea of a pink petticoat! As a big fan of pink it adds just a hint of color and is fun and romantic at the same time!

You can dye any crinoline but the material determines whether the crinoline will hold dye well.  I dyed mine just using my washing machine and 2 boxes of RIT dye.  The color turned out lighter than I had hoped though.

No it doesn’t ruin your washer.  Just make sure that you wash something dark afterward just in case some dye is left in the machine.

I did my own with RIT dye.  It was pretty easy.  You can Youtube videos of it or look up the directions.

I think a pink petticoat would be awesome!!!

Have you tried looking at the DIY section on the bee to get instructions. Here is a link to it. If you look at each of them, you can take knowledge from each to get the directions that would be best for you. Some of them are pretty in depth.
