Okay I’m trying to find a good pink paper for my invites and I’m checking things out (don’t worry I’m not making my invites tomorrow – I’m just planning people) to see if anyone has a good pink paper they may have used or are using that they can tell me the brand name of and color so I can too take a look.
I’m doing a pink/black/white wedding – not a bright fuschia, maybe more of a megenta or even a lighter pink.
I know I don’t want to use stardream because I already tried it and it’s not working on my printer here and there are no printers (places) in town or the city that will do it – so it’s not an option.
I’ll be using the pink for a layering peice for the main invite and then for 1-2 of the inserts in teh pocket fold, so it will be printed directly on.
Any suggestions? Pictures??

Pink vellum? Dunno if that works if you layer it on something black, tho’. Or, if you already bought the pink stardream…use white vellum and affix that (there are oh-so-many choices on how to do that!) to the stardream. Then you still get to use your stardream paper, no waste, and it looks very pretty. There are couple different kinds of vellum, tho’, I warn you. There’s the more expensive, thicker kind — I bought mine from LCIpaper.com — and there’s a thinner, cheaper kind that I bought from Ben Franklin (craft store — like Michael’s); it was the generic store-type brand. The thin stuff is OK, but you can really see the difference; it’s more like tissue paper. The expensive stuff was much nicer. The store carried both, but I cheaped out.

I only bought a little star dream, so I have no waste really. The samples I was whipping up crashed and burned…..looking now for more of a pink paper, cardstock even.

How about Paper Source’s PS Collection paper in Strawberry?
I used it for my sister-in-law’s shower invitations, as a backing card on a kiwi green and pink design, and it was really pretty. Not too bubble-gum pink, not too delicate baby-kind-of-pink, and not too fucshia — just right

We used pink/yellow/white for our wedding… this is the pink we used in our invites: ColorMates "Dark Pretty Pink" #CPKK12U
On my monitor the color on the website looks alot different than it did in person. Maybe a local scrapbooking store will have samples?

I think I’ll oder a few sheest of the dark pretty pink – thanks!
As for teh Stwarberry – I just ordered some of that and go it yesterday actually – great minds think alike 🙂
It’s a bit too – perachy almost? I don’t know how to describe it. I’m still going to make a mock invite with it, and all the other colors I get – that way choosing one will be eaiser because it will be right in front of my face.
You guys rock – thanks!!!
